Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and any other third parties associated with KUNN-G TECHNOLOGIES SDN. BHD., regardless of their role or level of seniority.
Definition of Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing refers to the act of reporting, in good faith, concerns about suspected unethical, illegal, or improper conduct, including but not limited to:
- Fraud, corruption, or bribery
- Violation of company policies or regulations
- Discrimination, harassment, or other unethical treatment
- Health and safety violations
- Environmental hazards or non-compliance
- Financial misconduct or misreporting
- Conflict of interest
- Any other activity that harms the company or its stakeholders
Reporting Mechanisms
Employees and stakeholders are encouraged to report any concerns through the following channels:
- Internal Reporting: Employees can report concerns directly to the Human Resources Manager, or Compliance Officer.
- Confidential Whistleblower Hotline/Email: peter@kunng.com.my & cath_beh@kunng.com.my.
- Anonymous Reporting: Employees may report anonymously if they prefer to do so without revealing their identity. This can be done through our Anonymous Reporting Form.
Protection from Retaliation
The company strictly prohibits retaliation, discrimination, or harassment against anyone who reports concerns in good faith. Any employee who engages in retaliatory behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination.
Confidentiality
All whistleblower reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. The company will only disclose the identity of the whistleblower when necessary and with consent or if required by law. However, employees should understand that absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in all situations.
Investigation Process
Upon receipt of a whistleblower report, the company will:
- Acknowledge receipt of the report.
- Conduct an impartial investigation to evaluate the validity of the concerns raised.
- Take appropriate corrective actions if the allegations are substantiated.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the investigation process to the extent possible.
The investigation will be conducted by compliance officer, who will ensure that the process is thorough and fair.
False or Malicious Reporting
Deliberately providing false or malicious reports is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. However, individuals making a report in good faith, even if it is later determined to be unsubstantiated, will be protected from retaliation.
Responsibilities of Employees
All employees are responsible for:
- Reporting any suspected misconduct or unethical behaviour.
- Cooperating with any investigations.
- Always acting with integrity and professionalism.
Training and Awareness
The company will provide training and resources to help employees understand this policy and their role in reporting misconduct. Training will be conducted annually and during employee onboarding.
